Graduated engineer work as technician?

Hi, I am recently graduated women electrical engineer. Some one suggest me to apply for electronic communication technician job. Is this O.K ? I feel sad to work as a technician with this degree. Please send me your suggestions. Do you think this will help me to get a better job in the future?
