Why is my perm crimpy?

I got a perm at 1:00 yesterday and I had naturally curly/wavy hair it just wasn't full or even. So I got a perm and It is just crimpy! I hate it! >:( I know i'm not supposed to wash it) But once I wash it will it bounce back to wavy and curly? Or stay at a dry ugly uneven crimp? Thanks :) Also when can I wash it?
